Money is disbursed during construction based on the inspection of the property and the percentage of completion of the home, and interest-only payments are required during the construction draw period.
When construction is finished and a certificate of occupancy is issued, the loan converts into your permanent home mortgage, and regular mortgage payments based on the permanent loan interest rate and the loan term begin.
